STILL, BE SAFE: 5 Travel Tips after the COVID-19 Pandemic Quarantines and Lockdowns

Health Travel

Everybody misses going on trips, internationally or locally. It’s a sure thing that everyone longs to go out again, whether it’s a random walk to the park, the daily trip to work or a refreshing travel abroad!

Currently, you cannot do that without restrictions, and that’s for your own safety. After this is over, then you can! BUT! (Yes, a big ‘but’) you still have to be safe and cautious!

Below are 5 must-remember travel tips after the Covid-19 pandemic and all the quarantines and lockdowns out there.

✓ Be mindful of the people in your surroundings.

The virus which is the enemy of everyone today is unseen by the naked eye. That is why it is even more threatening and nerve-racking. It makes people worried and paranoid because as you know, confirmed cases of positive patients in many countries are rising, and still, not everyone gets tested.

Even after community quarantines and lockdowns, you have to be careful of your surroundings.

Since you never know if someone is infected by the virus or is still recovering but irresponsibly roaming around, we should all be wary of all areas we travel to. What’s worse is some people are asymptomatic meaning they are carriers of the virus but they show no symptoms. We should still practice social distancing and other proper precautionary measures to ensure our lives’ safety.

Again, that is even after pandemic quarantines and community restrictions have been lifted.

✓ Wear a face mask even after the quarantine.

Just like what was said earlier about people not knowing who is infected and who is not, we should still pay attention to wearing the proper attire such as face masks, long-sleeved clothes, hats, and other fabric that helps cover our bodies to further ensure our safety from the very contagious virus, so wear your masks even after quarantine. They do not just protect you from dusk and bad odor but essentially, from obtaining unwanted bodily elements too.

✓ Pay more attention to proper hygiene.

Practicing proper hygiene such as washing your hands thoroughly is one of the best ways of battling with this pandemic for normal citizens. It helps decrease the risk of getting infected since it helps rinse off the filthy surfaces of our body that may otherwise be a place where the viruses reside in or attach to. If you’re going to places like amusement parks, malls, theaters, and hotels, we need to observe if their hygiene services are excellent too.

Especially if you are already traveling abroad or to a far local destination, hospitality services, most often hotels, should be carefully booked and scrutinized. Why? Because their facilities, although sanitized every after use and every after guest, still can be prone to becoming instruments of sharing dangerous viruses.

✓ Stay updated.

Always stay alert on what the government and what health experts have to say. Be updated on what the situation is around the world, the places that you will go to when you are travelling. Listen to the official announcements that the government makes in order to be aware of the situation of your country.

Being well-informed keeps you away from bringing your own harm to yourself. Don’t plan without knowing the conditions of the places you are going to visit.

✓ Plan international trips later.

Since the pandemic, you know that many really are bored in their houses, and they are dying to see the outside to travel. You might have the same feeling, but keep this in mind: be patient, you’ll get there.

This crisis makes it very risky to go outside, so to ensure absolute safety, put your schedules of going to different countries aside for the time being. Continue when everything is totally safe and secure for your life. It’s not about being “kill joy” or “too much” because surely, you don’t want to regret later on.

STILL, BE SAFE.

Be careful and be mindful of the decision you make during and after this pandemic. While after the pandemic and after quarantines, there will definitely be a feeling of freedom, don’t get too excited and reckless. You certainly miss traveling, but if you have to wait a little bit more to enjoy it wholly, then hang in there, you’ll get there. Still, be wise and safe. For now, stay safe everyone as the battle with this pandemic goes! It will end soon. And when everything goes back to the real normal, you can travel happily as a bird wherever you please.
